Lighting Flowers is an international art project focused on urban regeneration, exploring suburbs and abandoned areas in capitals around the world. Through public video mapping, ephemeral psychedelic digital graffiti highlight the industrial archeology of cities. In Yerevan, the project was developed during a 15-day residency, exploring underdeveloped and degraded districts, including the ruins of once-flourishing Soviet-era industries. These abandoned sites now impact current urban development and raise significant ecological issues, affecting the quality of life in Yerevan both now and in the future. Originating in Naples (Italy), Lighting Flowers has taken place in Rome (Italy), Yerevan (Armenia), St. Petersburg (Russia), and São Paulo (Brazil). The iterations in Yerevan and St. Petersburg were curated by Isabella Indolfi. Future iterations are planned for Madrid (Spain), Berlin (Germany), and other capitals.
